Proper Brushing For Plaque Removal

Back teeth can be plaque teeth! As everyone who brushes and flosses their teeth knows, your back teeth are harder to reach and to keep clean than your front teeth. The back teeth are designed with grooves and ridges that help you to chew food, but the down side is that these grooves and ridges can also collect tiny food particles, which can increase the risk of cavities and bacteria in plaque. If this plaque is left in place it can lead to gum disease. Do not let your back teeth become plaque teeth.  An electric toothbrush can do an amazing job and keeping those back teeth clean. Always try to brush for a full two minutes, focusing on one quadrant at a time for a minimum of 30 seconds each. Your mouth has four quadrants the top is two halves, and the bottom two halves.  Daily flossing in addition to a mouth rinse will keep your back teeth their very cleanest. All of your teeth will be cleaner and you will have a fresher and brighter smile. Tooth decay doesn’t happen overnight… For more information about “Back Teeth Plaque Removal” check out https://www.oralb.com/topics/back-teeth-plaque-removal.aspx.
